Speakers

Joseph Capurso
Executive Director, Head of FX, International and Geoeconomics, CBA
Joseph has been analysing and forecasting economies and financial markets for more than three decades. Joseph is currently Head of FX, International and Geoeconomics in the Commonwealth Bank of Australia’s Global Economic and Market Research team. Joseph and his team are involved in monitoring and forecasting trends in foreign economies and geopolitics, drawing implications for central banks’ policy and currencies. Joseph joined Commonwealth Bank in 2005 as an economist in the Bank’s Australian Economics team. Joseph joined the Commonwealth Bank from the economic division of the Prime Minister’s Department. Prior to these roles, Joseph was the forecasting economist at specialist economic modellers, Econtech (now part of KPMG). Joseph started his career in Treasury’s international and macro-economic divisions.

Travis Toemoe
Head of Insurance Practice, Mallesons
Travis is a large scale litigation specialist with a focus on partnering with clients on their most significant disputes. Travis is head of the Mallesons Insurance practice. Travis has acted for on a range of major construction and insurance disputes and brings a deep understanding of the industries and creative solutions to client problems. He focuses on the use of various disputes platforms to drive client outcomes. Travis is particularly proud of the work he does with other law firms and practitioners resolving significant PI claims against them. When he is not working, you’ll likely find Travis on his bike or watching cricket (from the local turf wicket to Lords via Galle, any cricket will do!)

Elizabeth Huxley
General Manager for Working Capital, CBA
Elizabeth Huxley is currently the General Manager for Working Capital at the Commonwealth Bank. Elizabeth has over 20 years of experience in the finance industry, specialising in markets, asset finance, payments, transactional services, trade, and working capital. In her current role, Elizabeth works closely with businesses, technology, and product development teams to develop and deliver lending solutions that support business customers with their current trade, working capital and cash flow needs.
