Your Head Above Water: Mental Health & Wellbeing

30 June 2026
Zoom

Past Event Overview

With economic pressures and workplace demands continuing to rise, mental health and wellbeing have never been more important.

In this candid and deeply personal session, Michael Weston shared his ongoing journey with mental health and wellbeing, and the life-changing lessons that emerged from one of the most challenging periods of his life. Through his lived experience, Michael explored how adversity can affect anyone, regardless of their background, career, or circumstances, and why taking the time to reflect on our own wellbeing is more important than ever.

More than a story of overcoming hardship, this session was a powerful reminder to pause, reassess what matters most, and take positive steps towards a healthier, happier and more balanced life. Michael also drew on his experience in psychosocial safety, highlighting the role that individuals, leaders and organisations play in creating workplaces where people feel supported, valued and safe to have conversations about mental health.

Key Takeaways:

  • Reflect on your own wellbeing and identify practical ways to create greater balance in your life.
  • Learn strategies for building resilience during challenging personal and professional circumstances.
  • Gain insights into the connection between health, happiness and long-term wellbeing.
  • Understand how every person, at every level of an organisation, contributes to a psychologically safe workplace.
  • Be inspired to start conversations that could positively impact the lives of colleagues, friends and loved ones.

Members left the webinar session with practical tools, fresh perspective, and a renewed appreciation for what matters most.
