- Owen Birrell will explore the current regional steel environment, with a focus on the outlook and forecast trends for steel, iron ore and coking coal across the Australian and South East Asian markets.
- Ross Lambie will share the latest view on the domestic economy, including the fiscal and monetary stimulus that has been provided in response to COVID, and what this means for the economic recovery that lies ahead.

Owen Birrell is a senior Industrials analyst for Global Investment Research in Australia. He joined Goldman Sachs Global Investment Research in 2003. In 2011 he joined the Metals & Mining team, with responsibilities across both Commodities and Equities. During which time he picked up coverage of the Steel sector. He now leads the Australian Industrials team, and in addition to Steel he covers the Transport, Infrastructure and Packaging sectors.
Chief Economist, Australian Chamber of Commerce
Dr Ross Lambie is Chief Economist and Director of Economics and Industry Policy at the Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Prior to joining the Australian Chamber, Ross was Chief Economist and Assistant Secretary at the Department of the Environment and Energy. He joined the Senior Executive Service of the Australian Government in 2015 in the role of General Manager of the Resources and Energy Economics Branch at the Department of Industry, Innovation and Science.
Director, Prasidium Credit Insurance
Paul has been involved in the Trade Credit Insurance market for 15 years, holding senior roles with both QBE & Atradius. Today, he is director and principal of specialist broker firm, Prasidium. Over his career, he has maintained an intimate knowledge of the Australian steel sector. He provides strong understanding around debtor insurance and the changing landscape around managing credit risk carried by steel importers, distributors, stockists and end users.
